Conference Location

The Annenberg School (3620 Walnut Street, Philadelphia 19104) is a 15-minute taxi ride from Philadelphia International Airport and a five-minute cab ride from Amtrak’s 30th Street Station. Rooms have been set aside at the Sheraton University City, 36th and Chestnut Streets, a 3 minute walk from the Annenberg School. The phone number is 215 387 8000.

Directions to the Conference and Hotel

By train:

Take Amtrak to Philadelphia’s 30 th Street Station. Taxis can be found on the 29 th street side of the station. The cost of the taxi ride will be about $5.00. To get from 30 th Street Station to the Sheraton turn right onto Market Street so that you are heading west on Market Street. Turn left onto 36 th street. The entrance to the Sheraton University City Hotel is at the corner of 36 th and Chestnut.

By Plane:

After arriving at Philadelphia International Airport, you can get a taxi. Taxi dispatch is available 24 hours a day. The cost of the taxi ride will be about $26.00. To get to the Sheraton University City from the airport take 95 North to 76 west. Follow 76 West to Exit 346A (Old Exit 40) ( South Street). Turn left at light onto South Street. Turn right at 33rd Street. Turn left at Walnut Street. Proceed to 36th Street and proceed to hotel at the corner of 36 th and Chestnut.

From New York and New Jersey

• Take New Jersey Turnpike to exit 4
• Route 73 (N) to Route 295 (S)
• Cross Walt Whitman Bridge to I-76 (W)
• Follow I-76 (W) to 30th Street Station exit
• Proceed directly through traffic light
• Turn left at second traffic light onto Market Street
• Proceed on Market Street for six blocks to 36th Street
• Turn left onto 36th Street and proceed for half a block to hotel garage, on left

From Princeton, Trenton, and Points North

• Take I-95 (S) to I-676 / Central Philadelphia exit
• Follow signs to I-676 (W)
• Take I-676 (W) to I-76 (E) exit
• Take I-76 (E) to 30th Street Station exit (about 1/5 mile)
• Follow ramp around station to Market Street
• Proceed on Market Street for six blocks to 36th Street
• Turn left on 36th Street and proceed for half a block to hotel garage, on left

From Harrisburg and Points West

• Take Pennsylvania Turnpike to Valley Forge, exit 24
• Proceed on I-76 (E) to 30th Street Station exit
• Follow ramp around station to Market Street

• Proceed on Market Street for six blocks to 36th Street
• Turn left on 36th Street and proceed for half a block to hotel garage, on left

From Airport, Baltimore, and Points South

• Take I-95 (N) to I-76 (W)
• Follow I-76 (W) to 30th Street Station exit

• Turn left at second light onto Market Street

Directions from the Sheraton to the Conference at the Annenberg School:

From the Sheraton, head south from S 36 th Street – walk about .1 miles to Walnut Street. Cross the street then turn right. Walk about 134 feet to the Annenberg School for Communication – a short 5 minute walk.
